I went to school here at Mariners the park has a great family vibe and the park is clean and well maintained. Always a fun place to visit. My son loves doing the monkey bars and playing with all his friends.

Nice little park. Very family oriented. Kids play organized softball and soccer games. California has a leash law, but grown adults allow their large dogs to run free catching balls. This makes for a very dangerous situation in which uncontrolled dogs may attack people and/or other animals. Clean restrooms here.

It is a super chill spot on Saturday Afternoons. People. Kids. Dogs. There's is space for everyone to set up for a picnic on a blanket. My kids are grown but I do have a pup. I just like to set up away from the playground and there is tons of room for us to play ball and be away from the playground and the families doing their things. It is nice that the dog people can space out and still do pur things. My favorite part is that so far the people that do not have control of their dogs seem to keep them on leash and do not intermingle with those of us playing ball with highly trained dogs. Everyone has poop bags and cleans up after their dogs. Everyone is super respectful of their surroundings. I know that their is a few homeless because there are a couple of well kept stuff but even they are respectful of the spot and mostly are not seen or blend in during a busy day at the park.

My husband and I arrived at 9 a.m to go kayaking. I highly recommend getting an early start. I'm my opinion, this is the best place in the area to rent a kayak. You can purchase a pass for 5 or 10 ninety-minute rentals which will save your time and money. The employees help with life jackets paddles and even help you get launched. They also rent sups and sailboats, too. There is paid parking in the adjacent lo The lot is owned by the City of Newport Beach and the cost is reasonable. Since this is a city park, you'll find restrooms, a playground and, of course, the beach. There is a designated swim area. However, people in kayaks, and sups often enter the swim area. There is also a restaurant. The last time I ate there, about 3 years ago, the food was excellent!

We utilized the racquetball court self teaching it but making our own simple rules for the moment to keep it fun...hit a blue one over into your gated area ..your welcome. 😀 Restrooms: Yes they have bathrooms, and were open until sunset or longer

The playground is on the corner of Dover and Irvine. It just doesn't show up on the map.

Park is beautiful, but I can't have my 2 year old daughter around unleashed dogs. Love dogs, btw but not safe around kids, especially if they are big breeds.

Not long enough walking paths..
