Two tennis courts with nets are in good condition but the courts sometimes have a lot of debris due to surrounding trees and/or the remnants of evening partying. At least one of the courts is taken up the entire Sunday AM by someone hosting classes, so the backboard is not available at that time and we always have to wait 30-60min for the other court.

❇️Mezes Park is a hidden gem in Redwood City's Centennial neighborhood. 🌈Playstructures are well-maintained and my kids loved the 🧡vibrant color of the structure. 🛝Disc, belt and bucket swings, toddler playhouse, a teeter totter and a mild bouncy feature within the play structure. 👍I loved that the playareas for different ages are integrated into one compact playground. This helps adults to keep an eye on multiple kids easily. 🪑Benches for caregivers to relax and watch little ones play. 🌳It is a quiet park with ample shade around the playground. Perfect for summer playdates! 🎖️There is a special feature here, a retired United States Army M-5 Stuart tank at the far corner of the park stands tall in honor of those who served in the world wars. 🧺Picnic tables, 🎾tennis courts, 🏀half basketball court and 🌿grassy area to run and play. 🚻Yes (clean bathrooms) 🚙Street Parking Playground Well maintained Restrooms Clean Dog-friendliness Yes Picnic area Has shade

Brand new little kid area! Thanks to the efforts of amazing community members, the little kid area of the park has been completely redone and there are more improvements on the way like better lighting so kids can still play during winter evenings. The mural alongside the tennis courts was redone as well. This park is still one of our favorites. Bathrooms, picnic tables, and both playgrounds have a good amount of shade. There's a very sturdy WWII tank on the far corner of the park too that's pretty interesting too.
Keith Worrell: ★★★★★
Great for kids of all ages. Accommodation: public restroom, drinking fountain. playground including climbing structure, swings, see-saw, and play houses. Several Picnic benches. Basketball court. Tennis courts. Grassy field. And most famously a small tank! Great for a kids party. There is an area for a bounce house to be setup. Several big evergreen trees for shade. The only down side is that parking is limited to the street, but I've never had trouble finding a spot at least on some side right next to it.
Donald Gorday: ★★★★

Blackheart Shade: ★★★★★
Quiet neighborhood, historical park with no longer functional decorative tank. Playground, basketball and tennis courts with expansive grassy areas plus tables with benches. Nice place to walk or relax.
Noemi Ferguson: ★★★★
Cute little park. Great playground for little kids with tennis court and basketball courts for teens and adults. There are a few homeless staying and loitering around the park but for the most part they stay away from the playgrounds.
Cecilia Chung: ★★★★
Small park with place for children to play, a volleyball court that's usually taken, and several tennis courts that are usually free :) there is a cool tank in the park for people to take photos with. Also 1 poke gym and 3 stops, in case that's what you're wondering :p
Lorenzo Tanada: ★★★★★
Nice Redwood City park with picnic area, basketball court, 2 tennis courts, playground and a Tank!
Elitza Ivanova: ★★★★
Small park with playground, 2 tennis courts, basketball hoops, picnic tables and grass area. There is always somebody celebrating something on the weekend. It's a little dirty, that's why I gave 4 stars.
Veronica Acevedo: ★★★★★
It has a nice playground for children bathrooms a tennis court basketball handball and can even set up for volleyball and it's kept up pretty clean

I went for tennis and there are only 2 courts, but there are lights. Parking is an issue
Kent Burke: ★★★
Haven’t been here in a while but they have added a few features for the kids. Playground: Fun for younger kids mostly. Picnic area: Only a couple of picnic tables.
Jessica: ★★★
Nice for a quick stop. Not much for them to play with as it is a smaller park but there is a lot of open space to lay a blanket down and relax.
Adam Gee: ★★★
Nice neighborhood park. Children jungle gym on site.. On street parking only. None on-site.
Alexander Tronchin-James: ★★★
Small park with a decent playground. Often busy with large parties.
Scott Brittain: ★★★
It is a green space in Redwood City. Nothing need-to-see here, but cool spot.
Joshua Perlow: ★★★

Negative Reviews:
Israel Contreras: ★
Is so many drunk Homeles in the park
V: ★★
The tank is cool. The park is surrounded by a lot of busy streets and there is no parking. It was overcrowded, as there are few parks in the area. Everything felt very open and exposed.
Wilson Wong: ★★
This is a tiny park. The grass area COULD be nice, except there's always dog poop and people letting their dogs run off leash. I don't feel safe with my young kids playing there
Robert Haley: ★★
Can't enjoy the park if you can't "Park" at it...the nearby residents use Parks Parking as their personal garages...it wouldn't be bad if they we're courteous and left you space to squeeze between them. It's very frustrating to see a spot....only the previous vehicle parked as to take up 2 spaces with their cars.
Lisa Krause: ★★
Parking is really rough... No seat covers in the bathrooms. Playground isn't set up well... Too Easy for kids to run into the street.
Carol B: ★★
Kind of barren - sparse trees, not the most appealing place. Sometimes raucous adults after work are kind of intimidating.
