One of our favorite playgrounds in all of San Diego! Things I like about it- ✨️Three different levels of play structures for different ages. ✨️Tables and benches for sitting ✨️A gazebo for parties ✨️Lots of parking close to the playground ✨️One entrance/ exit into the playground. Makes it easy to see who is coming and going. ✨️The playground is fenced in and away from the busy street ✨️There is grass, sand (for the volleyball court), and a sidewalk for all kinds of activities. (Bike riding, soccer, or sand castles). ✨️Always a friend or two to play with for my kids. 💥The downside of this playground is that there aren't restrooms located in the park. We have to go down the street to McDonald's or Starbucks.

My kids LOVE the "pirate park". Always clean and everything is sturdy and safe.

The Pirate Ship park. Good mix of equipment for all ages. Can get hot / crowded in the afternoons, recommend coming early. Lots of parking, no drinking fountain or restrooms.

Great large playground with 3 playgrounds. Our 2 year olds love it. Could use some more shade though. And can get crowded.

I take my son to the playground by the rec center often. It's the biggest one in our area but it could be better. There aren't any swings and I wish the layout maybe it easier to see your kid no matter where you sit. Another issue is the set of steps that leads to the gate by the sidewalk. It's scary when your child goes up those stairs, even with the gate there, because it's right by the street; I wish they would remove the stairs and this remove temptation. Other than that, it's a nice playground with a variety of age-based structures for kids to climb up and slide down.
