Best Pickleball courts in Huntington Beach, Orange County for 2026

Worthy Park Pickleball Courts

4 pickleball courts, with lights in Worthy Park in Huntington Beach, California. This park is right next to the high school. They have lessons here which take 2 courts. The other two courts are first come first serve. Courts can get crowded.

4 neighborhood pickleball courts all connected without barriers so balls do run in-between courts. Courts don’t have windscreens, and it can get pretty windy. Overall nice friendly folks, mostly beginners to medium sklill players. Paddle system is on the floor whether you’re single or already with a group. Sitting area to watch and right next to a well kept play ground area and field. Courts open at 5 am. There’s a clean public restroom nearby. Easy ample parking.

There’s a good amount of seating while you wait, there are paddle racks for each court, but they prefer to lay the paddles on the ground to reserve the next available court. There are no fences separating the courts, so balls from another court will inevitably cross over into your court, so be prepared to redo some points.

Good variety of skills and friendly players. All of the courts work by laying down your paddle and 4 on, 4 off so a terrific place to pick up a game and find partners. You can also lay down your paddle in groups so you can play in set games. The only challenge is the ocean wind at times. The night lights are okay but not regulation and tend to create weird shadows.

Worthy Park is located in Huntington Beach beside Huntington Beach High School on the corner of Main Street and 17th Street. Worthy Park is surrounded by residential areas, which makes this park family oriented.

Had good experience as I played with friend who was friends with 2 people there. But multiple people complained about a couple of the morning players and go to Edison Park courts now instead.

4 neighborhood pickleball courts all connected without barriers so balls do run in-between courts. If it's windy, it will be challenging to keep the ball in play. Overall nice friendly folks, paddle system is on the floor whether you're single or already with a group. There's a clean public restroom nearby too.

4 Clean courts, with lights! Sitting area to watch and right next to a well kept play ground area and field. Courts open at 5am but, with weather this nice, you'll have to wait a few hours for people to show up.

Nice people, good vibes for pickle ball. The usuals here have a system of how the line works and end up playing with other people! Love it, will be back

Great Pickleball crowd
Bravest Bullfighter: ★★★★
Good friendly vibe for pickleball play. The park needs to put the trash bins on the other side of the fence outside the courts so inconsiderate bottle/can collectors don't dump the garbage onto the courts where pickleballs roll into nasty trash/liquid.
Pham Hoang Cao Son: ★★★★★
There's a pickleball court in Worthy Park. It's near Huntington Beach High School!
josh kim: ★★★★★
Four pickleball courts here. They have lessons here which take 2 courts. The other two is first come first serve. No wind blocking fencing , need to adjust to wind play. This park is right next to the high school. Very nice courts, clean lines, and straight netting.

Nice free pickleball

This is a nice park! Coming here you see how there is a small parking lot with multiple different areas to do something. You get a field, playground, meeting area and pickleball! The place is cleaned and monitored regularly by the city. I come here regularly for pickleball.Pickleball- the place is lit when it gets dark. You can play up to 10pm however the park is open from the wee hours of the morning too. Courts are clean and the place is kept nice.
Mendel Y.: ★★★★★
Awesome park, the community supports pickleball being played on the basketball courts and the playground sand is swept and raked in the morning. Nice and clean with plenty of shade. Located right next door to HB high school, this little park is a wonderful place to relax or bring your kids too.If you play pickleball, they play on most Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.
Quinn N.: ★★★★
4 permanent pickleball courts.Likes:+ I like that the paddle line-up is for all 4 courts (unlike at a heritage Irvine park where you have to pick one court to line your paddle up, which would mean waiting 15-20min bw games), so only a 10-15min wait between games.+ Restrooms.+ Lights on until 10pm.+ Lotta polite players here. Wide skill range.Non-likes:- Restrooms are a bit of a walk away.- Many unraked leaves clumped against the far fences. Runaway balls tend to roll into that dirty pile.

This park has 4 courts laid out side-by-side and unpartitioned, and out of the handful of times I've played here, it has been really windy. Not only does the wind make things challenging keeping the ball in, but it makes fetching balls a hassle because they can roll 4 courts over. I also don't really care for their paddle queue system. Over there, groups have priority over single players, so a group of 2 that just finished playing got to skip me to join the group of 2 ahead of me in the queue, which I thought was messed up. It's the only place I've played at that does this. Normally it's the next 4 in the queue that jump on the court. Overall, Golden West College is probably a better alternative than here. It costs a few bucks, but it's not as windy being more inland, and the paddle queue is more normal.

No fencing..balls constantly interfere with play. But it's still PB and it's cool.

Worthy Park is a large 6.61 acres park settled behind Huntington Beach High School. There is decent parking, a playground and a handful of amenities surrrounded by an all grassy area. 🚻 Restrooms available. ALWAYS CLEAN! 🐕 This park is ideal to bring your dogs to 🧺 Benches for picnics or sitting. 🏞 Large Grass areas 🚗 Parking in a large lot 💧 Water Fountain 🗑 trash bins available but not often used. Weekends and Mondays are the dirtiest 🎾 Pickleball Courts (about 6) ⚾️ Baseball Diamonds The playground is rather large rubber mat area containing 2 playground units and swings with 2 for infants and 2 full sized swings. One of the playground structures is intended for ages 2-5 and another for 5-12 years old. Both structures offer multiple slides at varying sizes, and stairs to run along. Overall this is a great park to spend the day at and plan for a picnic or watch a baseball game. Be aware of the homeless in the area and be prepared for a great deal of trash scattered by the birds and weekend visitors.
Randi Levenbaum: ★★★
These courts really need fences behind the baselines to stop the balls from rolling all over

I've played Pickleball here about a dozen times. Beautiful courts and for the most part everyone has been kind, courteous and welcoming except for a group of older women (70's). They are rude, pushy and very unwelcoming. It's clear they don't like the new players who are also enjoying worthy park. Personally, I think they should join a private club or keep in mind that Worthy Park is PUBLIC!

It is good for a free place but it is starting to get too crowded especially in the evenings. Restrooms are locked early as well

It's a shame someone quite frequently, if not most days during hours of darkness dumps the rubbish onto the courts. It's unsanitary, filthy and rude. Many reports to the city but still occurs. Update: February 27, 2026 rubbish dumped. Update: March 10, 2026 rubbish dumped. Update: March 23, 2026 rubbish dumped. Update: March 24, 2026 rubbish dumped. Update: May 4, 2026 rubbish dumped.

Great place for the family and anyone interested in playing Pickleball. The Pickleball players are all levels and very friendly. Most of the time there are 16 people playing and lots of people waiting to play. The only reason I'm giving this park a low score is because the restrooms don't open till 8 or 9 am. Sometimes later. Everyone complains about it and the city has had multiple complaints but it is an ongoing problem.
Paula S.: ★
Attempted to play pickleball here and for the most part new players are unwelcomed and controlled by regular players .. this is a public park which apparently has been taken and controlled by over the Middle Aged High school mentality. It's OK to be competitive but when the fun is taken out of it it spoils it for everyone .. please keep in mind it's public and everyone should be welcomed whatever your level is... grow up People it's just a game ..
