Strawberry Tennis Pickleball Courts Rules
- Strawberry Recreation District has four tennis courts with lights (including two pickleball courts) and one sport court with lights (including two pickleball and a basketball court).
- The Four Tennis Courts are available for tennis play from 7 am – 10 pm, and pickleball play from 8 am – 9 pm, reservations recommended.
- The SRD Sport Court is available from 8:30 am – 8 pm, for pickleball and basketball.
- SRD offers Strawberry resident and non-resident membership rates. Proof of residency required.
SRD Guest Policy
- Members when playing tennis may bring up to 3 guests per membership
- Members playing pickleball may bring up to 2 guests per membership
- Groups larger than the number of guests permitted must be booked through the SRD office, rental rates and guest fess apply.
- No dogs/pets are not permitted on courts or on SRD property.
- Failure to follow this rule will result in immediate loss of current reservation time and may result in revocation of tennis pass, without refund.
- All lessons, team/league practice/clinics/groups & play (including Flex League) require an SRD Rental Agreement, proof of insurance and preapproval.
- SRD Tennis/Pickleball Pass Memberships are for recreational use only.
- NEW 2026: SRD Tennis/Pickleball Pass Memberships now have one designated primary member.
- All immediate family members living in the same household and listed on the primary passholder’s SRD RecDesk account are included in the membership.
Note: the primary member is responsible for signing all forms and waivers on behalf of their family members and guests. - All Tennis/Pickleball Passholder family members using the courts must be listed on the SRD RecDesk account.
- While using SRD courts, Tennis/Pickleball Passholders members/guests may not teach/receive lessons to/from anyone outside of their immediate family.
- SRD Tennis Memberships are for recreational use only, and may not be used by organized groups to use the facility. Organized groups can contact the office to check space availability and court rental rates.
- No food, alcohol, glass or non-sports drinks permitted on courts. Water or sports drinks in tightly sealed containers is permitted.
- Lost scan cards can be replaced for a fee – $35.
- Tennis court keys, scan cards, codes or apps may not be shared with anyone outside household membership.
- Pickleball is only permitted on Tennis Court 1 and the Sport Court.
- When using the SRD courts, everyone must wear proper attire, including a shirt, bottoms, and non-marking shoes.
- All tennis and pickleball players must adhere to proper tennis etiquette as described in the USTA Friends of Court.

Pickleball Play General Guidelines
In accordance with SRD Policies, always treat everyone with COURTESY & RESPECT. Open Play for adults is for any player 16 years or older regardless of skill level or ability.
Family Open Play is intended for parents/guardians playing with kids 15 yrs and under. All levels of play are included – please be respectful of everyone’s skill level.
Appropriate attire, shirts, and not-marking shoes required. Organized groups and c are not permitted during open play.

Mondays: 9 am – 11 am
Thursdays: 6 pm – 8 pm
Play & Rotation
Place your paddle in the racks, stacking in the direction of the arrow.
If players are waiting, play one game and rotate off the court.
Court Etiquette
- Begin each game by acknowledging the other players and introducing yourself if you don’t know them.
- If the courts are full and people are waiting tplay, take nlonger than 90 seconds to warm up before starting the game.
- Before serving, make sure the receiver is ready and facing you. Then call the score and serve.
- If a ball is going towards another court, Do not chase it on the other court. Yell “Ball on Court”, and let the other people stop playing and retrieve the ball.
- If you are crossing an active court wait until their current point is over. Ask them for permission to cross their court.
- Do not switch balls. If a ball lands on your court from a game nearby, pause the game, look where it needs to go, make eye contact, and throw it directly the person.
- At the end of each game, find something positive to say the other team at the net. (Ex: Good game, Nice playing, etc.) NEVER leave a game without acknowledging the other team.
- If the ball is out, and it’s on your side, call it out. If it’s close, give the benefit to your opponent and play the ball as in.
- If you step in the kitchen on a volley, or if your partner does, call it on yourself.
- Never ask for, or accept, line calls from the spectators.
- While using the Sport Court, all participants play at their own risk.
