My first visit was as a guest ($7 for a day pass, sign waiver) to try one of the Zumba group exercise classes on a Wednesday evening with instructor Donna. The member who I was a guest of is a West Sacramento resident. Since I work in West Sacramento, what's super neat is that they have a Corporate Rate that matches the Resident Rate for passes (Individual Only), which comes out to $7 for adults, $5.50 for seniors/students daily, or $39.50 monthly for adults, $26 monthly for seniors/students rate. Regular admission (non-resident) is $14 daily or $73 monthly for individuals. They also have Couple and Family rates. For evening hours after work, in the Group Exercise room, generally, there is a Cardio Lift, Yoga, or Zumba class offered each hour or so between 4 PM and 7 PM. There is also Kinesis, Aqua Fit, and Spin in other areas of the Center. They also have a basketball court (youth, teen, and adult sports), typical gym machines space, small group personal training, a pool, and a rock climbing wall. Parking was full because it's summertime and the hot weather brings everyone to the pool. Overflow parking goes into the high school lot, with some shade trees. Might get a pass as a complement to my Orangetheory membership.

Such a cool facility with something for the entire family - from basketball to tennis to weights to spin class to swimming...and even a couple of water slides and a lazy river. No a west sacramento native, no worries. Non-residents are allowed for a few $ more. Wry reasonably priced so that anyone can enjoy. Day passes, monthly pass, quarterly passes, etc etc.

No matter for kids or families, it is a true recreation home all time, specially during the summer! I like the swimming pool, gym and rock climbing area! My kids are fun of tennis courts and kids fun area as well!

Have free day pass good thru end of year. They have a rock climb wall (limited times and only with supervision), tennis and basketball (shared with high school), racquetball, and a decent assortment of cardio equipment. West Sac residents get discounted and good thing as it is not cheap (but not unreasonable either).

Now ada compliant. Honestly though, I have a lack of photos.... But this is the coolest recreational center I've ever seen. Pools... Slides... Rock climbing.... Gym.... Tennis courts.... I wish I had these things growing up. This is located next to river City high in West Sacramento.

It was my first time going to the West Sacramento Rec Center. I went solely to go to Renee's yoga class. 🧘🏽♀️ It was my very first yoga class. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Renee is absolutely amazing. I may not be ready for this yoga class, (the warm up was great for me, but once warm up is done, they transition to other positions pretty quickly, i went at my own pace and wasnt able to do everything) but Renee is so calm, has a great sense of humor, has great taste in music, and gives good directions. I highly recommend. I noticed while I was there, they had a gym, inside basketball court and so much more. I'll have to go back and check them out again. I'm sure this place is super popular after the high school let's out and durning the summer. They have outdoor pools and water slides.

Cool Waterpark. Big slides. Not expensive, not cheap. Can get crowded.

This pool is a great place to cool off on a hot day. It is clean and well-maintained, and there is plenty of space to swim and relax. However, it can get crowded, especially on weekends. There is also not enough shade, so it can be quite hot during the day.

Fun slides, cool rock climbing, good pool for kids. My one complaint: the soundtrack had a lot of inappropriate music for the crowd of mostly young children. For example, that song that goes "Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me? Don't cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me?" was blaring at the kids area... is that a good message for young children to hear? The manager needs to put a policy in place.

The pools themselves are not bad, but they need way more chairs if they have as many people as they do. They also need to make a rule people cant save chairs because they place towels on them and dont even use them. I am pregnant and 2 times I went and there were tons of chairs with nobody using them but they were claimed with towels and belongings.

Courts need to be swept more often. I'm in a volleyball league that plays there and the courts are often slippery from so much dust.

Please tell me who is overseeing these lifeguards? They blow their whistle over everything. It's ridiculous! My 3 year old daughter was floating on her dad's back, practicing her confidence and the lifeguard blew her whistle. I sat on the edge of the pool, another one blew her whistle. I gave her the thumbs up to understanding this wasn't allowed. She proceeds to come over and tell me again. Dude, I got it the first time! I saw them do this over and over again. I finally got annoyed and sat out. I look over and this was my view. Please tell me why these girls can wear thong bikinis and blow their whistle over the dumbest things?! Not appropriate for a KIDS swimming place. Never coming back!

When we joined, we weren’t made aware that the lap pool hours reduce significantly due to a lack of lifeguards starting in August and going through May - ie most of the year. The other day a member of the staff was pretty rude to my significant other when communicating about it, which made it worse. He also claimed there were notices posted onsite, and there were not. We mainly joined for the lap pool so we’re going to be canceling our membership.

Too many old people ruin it for everyone. BEWARE, the seniors get a steep discount so they are always packing the cardio room, walking on the treadmills and resting on the machines. They mainly just go there to get out of the house and watch tv. They are extremely possessive of the tv's. Heaven forbid you want to watch something other than politics or home improvement, or... actually get some exercise. They are also very rude and angry. Too bad, this gym is pretty nice if you get lucky and all the lazy senile old people skip it that day.
