Tennis and Pickleball courts in La Mesa, San Diego County

This is such a gem of a park! It appears to be newish since Google maps just shows undeveloped dirt here as of 7/2024. It is evident that a lot of thought went into the design of this park. They didn't just install some swings and slides. (Though those are fun in and of themselves, this park offers so much more). This park is the first place I have ever seen a 2 part tandem swing so an adult and baby can swing together. Things I saw here: *A cool play area for 5-12 year olds offering lots of climbing and agility based fun. *4 tennis courts / pickleball courts that have designated play times. *Shaded and unshaded picnic tables *A really cool small amphitheater in the back nestled amongst the trees where performances can be put on. *Clean, gender-neutral bathrooms with drop down changing tables (sinks are outside) *Off street parking lot (there is street parking as well) *Bicycle rack *Beautiful art covering the dumpster area *Handicapped parking spaces *A short walking path along the perimeter of the park The park is on a residential street with a coffee shop nearby. I visited around 9:30pm on a weekday so my pics are on the darker side. Environment: 5 Felt safe: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Shady area options: 4 Restroom availability: 5 My only complaint is that I wish the playground area was usable by adults, too. It looks like so much fun!

New clean park with kids and adult outdoor gyms. Pickle ball courts. Scenic picnic spots with stumps for a table and seating. Apparently there's an amphitheater here. Nice sidewinder trails and views. Clean restrooms but no toilet paper.

This is a lovely neighborhood park. There is a large playground, two tennis/pickleball courts, bathrooms and walking paths. This park has been newly renovated. Dogs on leashes

The city of La Mesa did a great job on this park! The kids live it and there are always pick up pickle ball games going on. Much better just of space than the old tennis court no one ever used

The pickleball courts are lit till 10 everyday, welcoming crew. Love to be part of the community hear weekly.

Really nice park, looks like it was recent completed or redone. No wait for pickleball courts and I saw that they have lights!

The new park is so amazing! It feels so safe, and the community is so friendly and involved in keeping it safe. The pickleball Court has encouraged me try a new hobby. The people who play there are helpful and patient with newbies like me haha The park even feel safe at night because of how well lit it is. I want to say thank you to everyone involved in giving this park a new life. I, and many others are very thankful for you 😊

Recently renovated, the best playground style park of all the La Mesa parks we've been to. Highlighted amenities: Playground (posted recommended ages 5-12) with slides, swings, multiple fun climbing surfaces Pickleball court Walking trails Benches and picnic tables Restrooms with closing and locking doors (some with changing tables), sinks with hot water vs usual cold tap

Great neighborhood park. Perfect for playdates and birthdays. There's a coffee shop across the street. There's a couple of trails for the kids to release their energy. They also have pickleball courts. Fun for all ages.

This newly renovated park is a little gem located on Palm in La Mesa. New pickle ball/ tennis courts, playground equipment, restrooms, picnic tables with shades plus all new landscaping makes this little park a wonderful park for all

Our grandkids had a great time at this park. Jungle gym, 4 pickle ball courts, hill climbing, bike riding.

Great playground, easy to park, like that the pickleball courts are lit and it’s pretty easy to get into the rotation for games even when it’s busy.

Nice remodel on the park! Played pickle ball for the first time there. People were very friendly and helpful if you were new to the game.

I go there to play pickleball. The court needs to be turned into four dedicated pickleball courts. We have 40 people showing up on Monday Wednesday and Friday. Sometimes you have to wait 20 or 30 minutes between games.

This is a enjoyable experience lots of family activities here and pickle ball for everybody to enjoy, to bad the city of lamesa will be tearing the historical trees and building down to re build the park and waste tax payers money

There are four marked pickleball courts, but bring your own net and hope no one is playing tennis on the one and only court.

I love this park for birthday parties and just enjoying some fun with the little ones. They have a great park for 2-7 year olds. There is a fenced-in tennis court for tennis lovers or parents who want their kids to safely ride their bikes/scooters. Plenty of shady areas and picnic benches. The bathrooms don't have doors on the stalls and you may want to bring your own soap and/or toilet paper. Overall, it's a great park for gatherings and barbecues.

Great park. I love how it is situated down off of the street. Wood chips in the play area. Tennis and basketball courts. Bar b ques and picnic tables. Short walk to the trolley station. Spent most of the day there on Sunday and the kids loved it. No problems and not too busy. Highly recommend!

Love this park. Pet friendly, lots of trees. Tennis courts are awesome and bathrooms always available. Too many bums in my opinion, and there has been one bad altercation as one of them, an old white man, ran us off one time with his yelling and screaming at us for no reason.

THERE'S A PLAYGROUND! where else in La Mesa can you find Tennis Court, Playground (with a bridge!) Mens and Women's restrooms, Drinking Fountains, and a Table or two filled with kids thinking they can rap!? only a short walk away from Palm Springs Liquor! with the coldest Faygo in town! you can always find what you're looking for at Collier Park in La Mesa!!
